Position:
Teacher/Mentor Year 2A
Qualifications:
- BA Honours (Bachelor of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences) Primary Education with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) from University of the West of England.
Currently undertaking my Masters in Education with a focus on EAL learners and phonics at the University of the West of England, I have had the opportunity within my career so far to teach across KS1 and KS2 both in England and abroad, including France, Ukraine and Australia. With varied experience in teaching children with both English as an Additional Language and with Additional Educational Needs, I have developed a broad understanding of current teaching methodologies and styles. As a holistic practitioner, I enjoy engaging my students fully within their learning and aim to encourage them to engage in new experiences as they progress within their learning journeys. I have been in The British School of Brasilia since 2022. A keen knitter and reader, I enjoy spending my time creatively and embrace trying new things. With a love of language, I speak French, Spanish and Portuguese. Additionally, I enjoy spending my time outdoors and spending my weekends longboarding, walking or paddleboarding.
