I Wear the Mask...

A performance by Year 6 pupils.
Friday, October 19, 2018

On Friday 19th October 2018, in front of an expectant crowd of peers and parents, The British School of Brasilia's (BSB) Year 6 students showed great presence while delivering a dazzling music and poetry performance! The talented ten-year-olds performed a pulsating version of ‘Shape of Me’ using Boomwhackers, among other instruments. As Alex kept the beat on drums and Santiago played the melody on the keyboard, courageous Saltanat Assaniyaz also showed great independence as she sang a soulful solo!

During the weeks before their celebration assembly, BSB’s Year 6 students had been showing fantastic creativity and self-awareness while writing thoughtful poems about themselves.

Each superstar student performed their poem, wowing the crowd with their humour, dramatic performances, and heartfelt couplets - bringing tears of joy and laughter from mums, dads, and even their teachers!

During the week leading up to the assembly, each and every student showed great decency, teamwork, and leadership as they worked in small groups to devise a performance - with great self-discipline and commitment, each student was able to perfect their performance.
