The massive cheering and applause heard from BSB last Friday (20.04) sprung from a brilliant display of artistry, technique, cooperation, and talent. On the very first BSB’s Got Talent, eight selected entries dazzled the audience with numbers ranging from timeless classics such as Beethoven to exciting Rock and Pop songs. It was the jury’s arduous task to award three of these entries based on their quality and level of difficulty. The third place was awarded to Gabi Heery, who did our Irish community proud with a brilliant solo tin whistle performance. The second place was awarded to two girls from year 3, Laura and Valentina, who astonished the audience with incredible Gymnastics. The highest prize of the talent show was awarded to a brave performance from Gaby Ribeiro (vocals) and Joao Milton (ukulele), who performed the song I’m Yours by Jason Mraz, displaying technical prowess and notable teamwork. One of the many highlights from the event was the sportsmanship displayed by our competitors, as, all the way from the preliminary auditions, participants provided peers with continued support and applause. Once again, BSB students prove that even hard work can be fun, and friendship and competition can be a wonderful blend.
