School Uniforms

Pupils at BSB wear school uniform up to Year 11, and may opt for the uniforme or a smart dress code in the Sixth Form.

There are many benefits to having a school uniform. It removes the distraction and peer pressure that can arise from differences in clothing while promoting positive social interaction and good discipline.

Purchases must be made in person at the store, via the website, telephone and/or WhatsApp.

BSB Uniform Policy

  • With the daily uniform, boys must wear smart-looking, all-black (including the sole) leather shoes, and girls must wear smart-looking, all-black (including the sole) leather flat shoes.

  • With the PE uniform, pupils are allowed to wear trainers of any colour.
  • The PE uniform is to be worn exclusively on days with physical education activities (parents will be duly notified about these days).
  • Full daily uniform, including the tie for Primary pupils, must be worn by students on all other days.
  • Pupils should arrive at school wearing the appropriate uniform for the day, as they will not be changing uniforms at school.
  • A House colour T-shirt is part of the PE uniform, and it can be worn on PE days and during House Competitions.
  • The BSB sun hat is mandatory outdoors to allow for social activities in the sun.
  • The purchase of the BSB backpack is mandatory. If, for any reason, it is not possible to purchase the school backpack, for example if the item is sold out at the store, the alternative backpack should be black or navy blue.
  • Jewellery is limited to stud earrings and is permitted for girls only. Accessories that are not part of the official BSB uniform are not encouraged. Should a pupil choose to wear additional items, we recommend that they remain within the school colours of white, black, grey, navy blue, yellow or orange. The school cannot accept responsibility for any accessories lost on campus.
  • Extreme hairstyles are not allowed. Hair must be neat, with long hair tied back during PE or sports lessons.
  • For safety and identification, all uniform items should be clearly labelled with the student's name, Year Group and class.
  • Parents will be notified if students fail to comply with the uniform standards.
