Parent Community

At The British School of Brasilia, our Parent Community is an integral part of school life. We are committed to maintaining open and effective communication with families through our dedicated school app, which provides weekly updates from teachers and school leaders, termly curriculum letters and regular reports on pupils' progress. This ensures that parents remain well informed and actively engaged in their children's educational journey.

We greatly value parental involvement and encourage families to take an active and collaborative role in the events and initiatives organised throughout the academic year. A key channel for engagement is the Events and Fundraising Group (EFG), which supports the planning and delivery of school events and fundraising activities. Participation in the EFG strengthens the partnership between school and home, contributing to an inclusive and welcoming community.

At the beginning of each academic year, volunteers are invited to register their interest via the school app, offering parents the opportunity to contribute their time and expertise. In addition, each Year Group has a parent representative who supports communication within the cohort and assists new families in settling into the school community. New parents are encouraged to connect with their Year Group representative and, in time, may also choose to take on this role themselves.
