Ms Larissa Mastrantone

Head of Primary
BA Honors Psychology and Educational Development at Nottingham Trent University PGCE Primary at Nottingham Trent University
I have been working in schools for 16 years. My professional career began in the UK where I taught Year 1, Year 5 and Year 6 classes. I also had the role of subject coordinator for History and Geography. I then began my international teaching career moving to a school in Mexico City where I taught Year 4 and was subject leader for Maths and PSHE as well as being Year Group lead. Following this, I moved to a British school in Portugal teaching a Year 6 class and being subject leader for Maths. My next professional journey brought me to Sao Paulo where I have been working in a British school for the past 8 years. I began as a class teacher with a responsibility for assessment, then became Key Stage Coordinator. For the past 4 years, I have been Deputy Head of Primary working across two campuses, as well as being the whole school safeguarding, pastoral and well-being lead. I am a passionate educator and thoroughly enjoy working with children and families from all over the world. I am looking forward to joining the BSB community and am very committed to the school, its growth and successes. Outside of school my passion is horse-riding. I have a horse called Gilda. I train with her each week and we take part in jumping competitions. I love the outdoors and enjoy taking my dog on long walks in the countryside. I have a passion for Italian football and support the Italian team, AC Milan. I love travelling and exploring different cultures. I’m a big fan of the Harry Potter books, however, my favourite book of all time is The Witches by Roald Dahl. I’m really excited about moving to Brasilia!
