Position:
Reception B Teacher
Qualifications:
- Master of Teaching Primary from Charles Sturt University.
- TESOL Certificate from the International Open Academy.
- Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney.
I have been teaching for about eleven years in Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Australia, as well as abroad in Temburong, Brunei (the jungle in Borneo). I have had the opportunity to teach all year levels in mainstream classrooms, inclusion and in English as an Additional Language (EAL) settings, as well as High School Years 7-10 in Mathematics. Throughout my teaching journey, it has been the little people I have had the privilege of teaching who have had the most impact on my growth as an educator.
When I am not at school, I relish travelling and immersing myself in other cultures; exploring flea markets and bazaars; sampling different foods; admiring city scapes and experiencing the diverse natural environments and historical discoveries. I am passionate about visual arts and have spent many days totally absorbed in impressionistic art in modern European galleries. Activity-wise, I enjoy anything that involves water, trekking, cycling, horseback riding and backyard cricket. I am also an avid reader and enjoy many different genres of movies, films and documentaries.
